About the Role
As the First Officer of our bulk carrier under the Italian flag, you will be a key member of the ship's leadership team. You will work closely with the Captain to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel, lead the deck crew, and uphold the company's commitment to maritime excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Captain in the safe navigation and operation of the bulk carrier in adherence to international maritime regulations and company policies.
Lead and manage the deck crew, promoting a safety-focused and collaborative work environment.
Oversee cargo loading and discharge operations, ensuring compliance with stowage and securing procedures.
Maintain and inspect safety and firefighting equipment, ensuring readiness for emergencies.
Communicate effectively with onshore teams, port authorities, and fellow crew members.
Contribute to the training and development of junior deck officers and crew members.
Assist in preparing and submitting accurate reports, including voyage reports and incident reports.

Requirements
Experience in rank on board Bulk Carrier vessels (panamax/post panamax)
Certificate of Competency recognized by Italian Flag
Valid two-years medical certificate
Knowledge of English language with "Marlins" attestation
ECDIS certificate specific for FURUNO FMD3200B apparate
Cyber Security certificate
Hatch cover and coaming certificate
Travel passport with residual validity of 18 months
Valid seamen’s book
Covid19 vaccine
Yellow fever vaccine
